If the column’s verticality is accurate, then the distance between the center plumb thread and plywood needs to be approximately 138 millimeters at all locations. Locking systems or jack supports for the formwork can then be moved and adjusted to acquire the proper verticality if there is a situation where things don’t line up.

For higher accuracy, it is possible to use steel tape and thedolite. This method is beneficial when checking more formworks on the grid line. Take the right direction by focusing the telescope on a complete distant peg that was created using a 90-degree angle adjacent to the column grid line. Once the theodolite is set up properly, turn the laser on and focus it on the steel tape, which you should hold in place to the formwork.

Take the reading of the steel tape through the included telescope. Once the readings of the two positions are acquired at the same level on the bottom and top levels of formwork, it is possible to achieve a more accurate estimate.
